Standard Straight Stair case with some extras added.
A 1970's open stair case did not fit into the "Georgian" style of this house. The owner
gave me the task of restoring the original style as much as possible. I fitted a standard staircase with MDF treads and plywood
risers. This will later be carpeted and glossed white. The handrail, newl post and spindles are Hemlock, a strong wood free
of knotts. These items will be stained or waxed at a later stage.

Due to the layout of the corridor I fitted under stair storage for
only half of stair case, to ensure enough room for movement. I then changed the old meter box, which was fitted with
80's "Louvre Doors", to match the style of the new staircase. The copboard doors are fitted with "touch-catches", so there
is no need for door handles. Just press the door and it will open. These features will also be glossed white at a leater stage.

The alcoves only had one built-in wardrobe in this room. There was
however another matching wardrobe in a seperate bedroom. I carefully removed it and had the white gloss stripped. I then rebuilt
the wardrobe into the master bedroom.

As the alcoves are not deep enough, I built the wardrobe further out
in order to support standard size coathangers. I used partly reclamed timber and partly new timber. Te new timber I had layed
into the same stripping bath as the frame & doors in order to colour match it with the existing material. The result,
two matching wardrobes in one bedroom.

The other bedroom has been converted to a sitting/play room and I
fitted a new wardrobe in the gap of the refitted wardrobe. The criteria was to house as many pvc toy containers as possible
and I costum spaced the shelves for that reason. The client chose white doors to fit the design of the room.

The same client required a space saving floor to ceiling wardrobe
in the converted loft. I fitted this wardrobe with four sliding doors over a length of almost 3 meter. The sliding door kit
supports door of up to 45 kg, srong enough to mount mirrors onto the two central doors at a later stage. The spacing of shelves
and hanging facilities have been designed to the clients special requests.

This garage needed a new main gate, side door and roof. The access
door to the back lane was rotten as well.
The double garage doors is made from 18 mm "Marine Plywood" glued and screwed ont a
pine frame and the access door is made from 16 mm pine, glued and screwed onto pine as well.

I changed the garage side door to a sliding door as this preserves
the space in the yard. Next I had the challeng of the roof. the old roof contained broken asbestos sheets. These sheets had
to be removed carefully an recycled accordingly. Plymouth city council will take special toxic waste, if the paperwork is
filled in correctly. I the battened the old metal roof frames and screwed "Exterior Strand-board" onto the battens.

On top of the board I mounted a water tight cloth membrane and overlapping
"Garage Felt". These layers were the covered with self sealing "Felt Tiles", which are stapeled to the roof.
