Another Sliding Door
| Door Before |

|
These old sliding doors, mountet on rolls on bottom rolers, running
on a steel track have been changed to hung doors. The mechanism is more reliable and does not jam any more. I replaced the
doors to half glazed to get more light into the dining room when shut. These doors have edged obscured glass.

Stripped Doors
I had this door srtipped of its varnish/stain mix and hung it in the customers front room replacing another door that
did not fit with the period features of the building.

Floor Sanding & Varnishing
This floor was well used and scratched. It also had indentations from furnitures, placed
on the same spot for years. I sanded the floors with my own floor sander (no hire charges) and sealed it with low oder floor
varnish. This varnish is produced to withstand high frequency foot trafic and its qualitty is guarantied for three years.

Some clients choose to varnish the floor themselves and I undertake the sanding only.
I use up to five different grades of paper, reaching from G 24 (very rough to remove betumen based black damp proof around
the edges) to G 120 the finest grade, last before varnishing. Where possible I also scratch and sand right into corners by
hand, not to leave the often seen black corners, where the edging sander can't reach.
